Résolu LinuxCNC compatible avec carte Wifi PCI ?

J'avance (lentement) sur mon projet, et pour changer un peu de l'usinage, je suis en train de voir comment piloter la machine avec LinuxCnc, provisoirement via le port parallèle. Je suis donc en train de me faire les dents sur Linux... et j'ai besoin d'aide !

J'ai trouvé un vieux PC (Dell Optiplex 760), installé LinuxCnc depuis le Live Install, jusque là, pas de problème.
Maintenant, j'aimerais ajouter une possibilité de connection Wifi à cette machine : je n'ai plus de réseau Ethernet filaire au bureau, et aucune connection Internet à l'atelier, sauf via mon smartphone. Le Wifi serait donc pratique, au moins jusqu'à ce que tout soit opérationnel.

J'ai donc ajouté une carte PCI TP-Link TL-WN881ND au PC, mais cela ne fonctionne pas :
- la carte est vendue comme étant compatible avec Linux Kernel 2.6.24-4.1 : cela devrait donc aller avec le kernel 3.4-9-rtai-686-pae installé ?
- Il semble qu'elle soit basée sur un chipset Atheros AR9287, supporté par le driver ath9k, normalement inclus avec Debian (?)
- la carte est bien présente : une commande lspci -v la fait apparaître à l'adresse 03:00.0, mais sans la ligne 'kernel driver in use'
- le driver ath9k est bien chargé : une commande lsmod liste ath9k, ath9k_common et ath9k_hw
- lorsque j'ai booté le PC avec un Ubuntu sur une clé USB, la carte wifi a été reconnue et j'ai pu établir une connexion réseau.

Il y a une LED sur la carte, qui reste éteinte, ce qui semble indiquer selon la doc que "The driver has not been installed" ou "The adapter's radio has been disabled" (désolé pour l'anglais, je le comprends mais je risque de faire des fautes en traduisant)


Est-ce que quelqu'un saurait me dire ce qui ne va pas et comment régler ce problème ?

Bonjour,
Il faudrait aller voir sur un forum Debian généraliste, ce que je peux te dire, c'est qu'un branchement
filaire sur la prise rj45 d'un petit répéteur Wifi, ça marche sans problème, ça doit être équivalent à un
branchement filaire directe sur le routeur.

Merci pour ta réponse. Malheureusement pas de possibilté de me brancher en filaire simplement...
Je ne comprends pas ce qui manque, le driver est présent, la carte est reconnue, mais les deux ne se parlent pas. Je continue à chercher

Il y a bien une prise Ethernet RJ45 sur le PC, mais mon répétiteur wifi n'a pas de prise RJ45 disponible, la seule qu'il a est justement utilisée pour le relier à une box en filaire...

- lorsque j'ai booté le PC avec un Ubuntu sur une clé USB, la carte wifi a été reconnue et j'ai pu établir une connexion réseau.
Pour orienter, le problème semble dû au kernel RT, la carte fonctionne et comme Ubuntu est parent à Debian ça devrait marcher.
Il ne doit pas manquer grand-chose.
- la carte est bien présente : une commande lspci -v la fait apparaître à l'adresse 03:00.0, mais sans la ligne 'kernel driver in use'
- le driver ath9k est bien chargé : une commande lsmod liste ath9k, ath9k_common et ath9k_hw
Vous pourriez poster les résultats, au moins la partie concernée ?

Ces commandes, vous devriez les passer en tant que root = mettez sudo avant la commande.

La carte PCI est une TP-Link TL-WN881ND,, je n'ai pas trouvé d'info sur le chipset dans la doc (minimale) fournie, ni sur le site du constructeur. J'ai par ailleurs trouvé une page ici (https://www.tp-link.com/fr/download/TL-WN881ND.html#Driver) qui indiquait que le chipset un Atheros AR9287...

J'ai aussi essayé de telecharger et installer le pilote proposé par TP-link (https://www.tp-link.com/fr/download/TL-WN881ND.html#Driver) mais je n'arrive pas à le compiler : en faisant un make sur le dossier unzipped, j'arrive à une erreur de compilation

A moins qu'une même carte (au sens de la dénomination commerciale) ne change de chipset dans le temps ?

Curieux ce comportement de reconnaissance différent avec ubuntu.
Je ne connais pas linuxcnc à part que je sais que c'est basé sur du temps réel.
Je suis en train d'en charger une version pour essayer sur un vieux dell aussi.
À quoi te servirait le wifi ? Pour le fonctionnement ou juste pour l'installation et les mises à jour ?
As -tu essayé de booter sur une clé linuxcnc et de juste tester sans installer ?

il semble donc bien que la carte ne soit pas du tout reconnue ?

@hozut : le test que j'ai fait avec Ubuntu était depuis une clé USB, sans installation, et la carte Wifi fonctionnait sans rien modifier/ajouter...
Sinon, je pense utiliser le wifi surtout pour la mise en route

je viens d'essayer de refaire l'install du driver disponible chez TP-Link (download > unzip > cd > make) et j'obtiens tjs la même erreur :
incompatible types when assigning to type 'struct wiphy_wowlan_support' from type 'const struct wiphy_wowlan_support'

des idées ?

Bien que ça ne réponde pas strictement à la question, il existe des adaptateurs wi-fi en USB.
Très répandu avec les Raspberry PI des générations précédentes. 8-)

pas de pilote peut etre pour des problemes de delais ou bien de pertubations ou encore un noyau 8.04RT qui ne prend pas en charge le wifi??

Puisque cette carte fonctionne quand je boote sur une cle Ubuntu, comment est-ce que je pourrais faire pour voir les éléments (driver, firmware ?) qui sont utilisés par Ubuntu et les copier dans mon install Debian Wheezy ?

Quand je regarde sous Ubuntu, avec la carte Wifi active, lspci m'indique que la carte utilise le kernel module rtl8192ee
Comment savoir s'il fait partie de la distribution LinuxCnc ?

Maintenant la question est : comment je fais pour installer un driver compatible ? Mes essais de compilation du driver TP-Link ont échoué (voir plus haut)

J'ai essayé de faire :
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firmware-realtek

et la réponse : "firmware-realtek is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 368 not upgraded"
