GEDO 2B, I have a Vernier TV280 but I speak a very bad french. If you know a little English I can try to give answers at your questions.
My first advice is to download the manual from the forum archive, it give a good hand but keep in mind that it's not the complete documentation provided by Vernier SA. Talking about the manual, it's a collage of 2 version of the same manual, in fact some page is missing an some is duplicate. For the drawings you have a better situation, and what I mean is thay the file is complete, but it refer to one of the latest version of the machine (the one with 18 speeds in the feed gearbox and not 15 as the first models), so it's possible to find some difference between the plans and the real world.
If it can be useful for you I have one of the first TV280 ever built and I can say that there are substantial differences from the newers, now the machine is waiting in my garage for a complete reconditioning (I saved the lathe from scrap) and it's not a problem to have a look and give you any information.
