#12966 D10

Pardon madam et monsieurs
Je ne parle pas français, mais par contre je parle anglais.

Bonjour

my name is Rainer, I`m german, I`m 51 years of age, leave between Stuttgart and Munich (Illertissen) and I own a Cazeneuve HB 575
I beg your pardon but I don`t speak french.
I have a problem with the oilpump or with the seal between the shaft and pulley.

I took some pics to explain the problem.

My questions are:
a) Are those 5 bolts right hand or left hand thread ?
b) Is the pulley and the shaft a pressfit ? Do I need a puller ?
c) I am NOT sure wether it`s the seal or cover of the oilpump
.What`s the sparepart-number from Cazeneuve ? Is it the 1.161.542.10 , or the 1.140.470.50 ?

Again, please excuse my lacking french.

Merci beaucoup pour votre aide

Rainer

Personne pour filer un coup de main à Rainer?
Hi Rainer, I am pretty sure someone will give you a hand to fix your lathe.

Salut,

@Rainer Allemand, as you can see, the pulley is not press-fit mounted and its bolts are right hand threaded.

Hi Rainer,

You can have a look to this thread (link), more details and pictures are provided ... To be honest I do not recognize exactly the same thing as what is on the drawings ... might be different in reality than in the books ... Anyway be careful when proceeding ... as you can see in this example, a part has been broken down when dismounting the assembly ...

Best regards,
FB29

Merci beaucoup
Thank You everyone

I haven`t done anything, yet.
I was only opening the 5 bolts of the 130mm pulley and tightend them again.

@FB29
Thank You very much.
The link to that thread is golden. This helps me a lot !!

But I found a few more problems:
I found a second leak.
The motorshaft is leaking, too.
I believe it should be that same sort of deflector: 1.140.471.00

I know the purpose of a deflector .... but such a deflector is good only when there is a vacuum inside the oiltank Maybe the oiltank is not tight ?

I must remove the motor incl the gearbox but ... the hoisting-lug on top of the motorhousing is too tall and this lug is of this cast-type. I cannot unscrew it.

Still it must be repaired, but it`s simply the wrong timing. I need this lathe now grrrrr

I will ask Cazeneuve how much they cost .... bearings maybe too

I let you know what`s going on.

Bonjour,

more problems

I took off the belts and let the motor ( + gearbox) run.
No oil leaking, hardly any noise.
I can feel a little roughness.

But ... the drive for the spindle is bad.
I have a radial play in these 2 bearings of ~ 0.05mm

I took this pic from Mad Mat ( https://www.usinages.com/threads/cazeneuve-hb-575.59350/page-7#post-1052066 )
I`m sure it`s threaded but how to lock the shaft when trying to open the flange ?

I contacted Cazeneuve and they asked if this machine was dry before
When I bought it there was no oil inside and I filled it up with ISO 32 and all was good. Oilflow ok. Oilpressure ok.

Possible that the previous owner ran the machine without oil. Don`t know.
I will contact Cazeneuve again but I guess it`s simply too expensive.
My heart is bleeding

Rainer
